Proposing a project with DQRI can happen in a variety of ways, some of which are listed here.
- Individuals or organizations can submit ideas and/or proposals.
- Sponsorship can be proposed either for a specific project or for an existing proposal or project.
- Individuals or organizations can volunteer to participate in existing or new projects.
DQRI encourages those with project ideas to consider submitting a Preliminary Project Proposal as a way of describing the project. The proposal will go to the DQRI board, which will consider it for compatibility with DQRI’s mission, funding potential, applicability of deliverables, and so forth. We also suggest that the proposer contact a DQRI representative to talk about the project.
Once the preliminary proposal has been discussed and the board has indicated that it looks viable, they may request that the project proposer complete a Full Project Proposal application. The purpose for this is to ensure that the project has been fully thought through, and that appropriate expectations are set on the part of the project proposer and DQRI. Again, the proposer is encouraged to work with a DQRI representative throughout this process.
